Friday Letters

Dear Husband, you took three days off of work and still managed to make up your hours. nice. Dear 13 1/2 hour drive, there is a whole bunch of pretty much nothing to look at the whooole way. Dear audio books, last minute library trip and the 39 clues books one and two kept us alive. Note to self bring more audio books next time. Dear Dramamine, you might as well call yourself the no more patience pill. Dear Arizona, you gave me perfect weather the whole time and beautiful flowers and sunshine. Dear Family, it was so nice to be home and to laugh again. I love you more than words can say. It was all I could do not to cry when I had to go. You saw what happened last time. Dear Easter, you were just right, the kids had so much fun and had a wonderful Sunday. Dear children, it made my heart happy to see you running and playing with your cousins. And how you were smiling and happy and your cute happy selves again. I didn't want to leave. Dear Girls Night + Dad, you were just what I needed, I loved every minute. Dear Ma+Pa, thanks for putting up with all the crazy noise and mess and kids running everywhere. And for making it possible for me to come see you. Dear Barrows, the kids had been begging for you ever since we moved, you were every bit as yummy as ever. Dear Cafe Rio, mmmmm. I found a way to squeeze you in. Of course I did. Dear Sadness and Headaches, I wish you would go away. You are not a good combination. Dear Ric, thanks for installing a new air conditioner for my parents.

Friday Letters

(isn't this so cute)

Dear Husband, you went out of town this week for work. I will not mention whether the house was cleaner or how I slept with no snoring. Dear Kade, you had a headache for four days straight. I decided to take you to the ER when I found you in the back yard face down on the concrete. The culprit, a sinus infection. And some nasty chew-able antibiotics. That was an expensive way to find out. Dear Moriah, Happy Birthday Pretty girl. I miss you! Can't wait to see you in the Easter Pageant. Dear Prison Break, I'm not sure I even want to watch anymore after you killed Sara off. Be-headed none the less. Dear Children, when I told you we were going to Az. one of you cried happy tears, literally. And the rest of you ran around screaming with excitement. And all of you tackled me. Dear Free Bread, you are so awesome. There is no other way to put it. Dear Road trip Preparations, I'm not enjoying. It hasn't been long enough since I packed a whole house and I'm still not done unpacking. So, I'd rather pull my hair out, but not in the front. Dear Husband, do you think we will still be married after a 14 and 1/2 hour car ride with four kids.

Hairy Situation

So, this is what Hazel would look like as a blonde.

The Binky Fairy came. I've been trying to get Hazel to give her binks to the babies for a year! I finally told her the Fairy was coming and we had no choice, but she would leave her a gift. She said she wanted "wakeup".

She scoured the house and put her last 3 binks in the basket. Great right? Ha. Until bed time. The poor thing couldn't fall asleep. I realized it was much more than just an attachment when she started chewing on everything and hitting herself in the head because she couldn't fall asleep. I had to sing her to sleep. How the sound that comes out of ma mouth can soothe anyone to sleep I will never know.

It was a success though. She woke me up so happy because she got her make up. Later she told me that the binky office saved a bink for her and they will send it over. Ha!

When I put her to bed she didn't stay there of course, but she did sleep with with her makeup. She said she is almost ready but she needs to put on her sleeping lipstick. And she did. She is cute as a button.

Now if I can just get her to stop yelling at me.

When all the kids saw that she got a gift I found a pile of their blankets and asked what it was. They said they were leaving it for the blanket fairy so they could get something too. Smile.

Friday Letters

Dear Husband, you put up the swing set, now the kids love playing outside. Dear Spring Break, you were a welcome break from all the rushing of life. We even got one day where no one argued or whined, I wish everyday was like that. Dear Tree Blossoms, you are so pretty and I'm lucky enough to have lots of you in my yard and well, almost every where you look. Dear Park, down the street. You are really cool and beautiful too with lots of open space to play. Dear Wind, wow. There is a lot of wind. Dear Kids, your random comments at dinner are so funny. Like-"I fell on my bum and it made my brain hurt" and "kaden has a bag of ants in his room" well..that one actually wasn't so funny. Dear Family, I miss you. Dear Homemade Bread sticks, I think we may have found a winner. As long as there is alfredo and marinara dip the kids will never complain about dinner because their mouths are full. Dear Life, sometimes you push me to my limits and I have to set new ones. I am blessed all the same. Dear Husband, thanks for fixing the dishwasher.

Spring Break

After a really crappy week and a really crappy weekend I am really looking forward to Spring Break.

I stayed in bed until 10:30 and came down stairs to a completely trashed house. I make them clean so I don't really understand why they do that.

Some girls in the ward showed up at our house wanting to play so we walked to the park. It can take a really looong time to get anywhere when you are 3 and trying to ride a scooter up hill. And it doesn't help that she is so close to the ground that she had to show me every ant and she found a rubber band.

This is their spaceship and they made me be the alien. That made me feel special.ha

They rolled down this hill a long time, our sledding hill.

I think it made them feel sick.

Hailey was there but a boy from school was there too, so... she thought he was cooler that me. I was cool again when she got hit in the face with a ball and didn't want to cry in front of him.

Friday Letters

This is what what our backyard looks like after crazy wind. We don't use a brush around here or wear pant when we roller blade, even when it is starting to snow. But notice they are wearing a jacket.

Dear Husband, I think you might have fixed the dishwasher. Dear Spring Sing, you were an unorganized mess, but I love hearing children sing so I still liked it. Dear YM/YW Talent Show, WOW. I had no idea the hidden talents the youth in my ward have. Amazing. Reminder to not underestimate the youth. Dear ATT, your internet access is expensive and it sucks. I'd say over and out, but it's usually just out. Dear Layton, I heard about your award for All Mesa Public Schools! So proud of you for working hard. You are so talented and awesome and funny. I miss your funny-ness. You should make me a charm for a necklace. Dear Spring Break, you officially start right.....now. I hope the kids don't trash the house with boredom. Dear Broke-ness, you stink! I hate being this poor, gas to drive the kids to school or food, gas or food? And the cheap food is basically all carbs. Dear Conference, my heart loved hearing your messages, and I admit I enjoyed staying home from church. Dear House Floors, you must be magic because 10 min. after I slaved away cleaning you, you had dirty footprints and cracker crumbs everywhere. I hate dirty floors. Dear Anniversary, you came and went with a lot of mixed emotions. Dear Ric, we have been married for 12 years.

5 year olds

If I've told her once I've told her a hundred times...not to turn the hose on, or open the gate to the front yard, or get in the fridge and to please stop barking.

yeah those are only socks on the feet in the background, nice.

This girl seems to think she is the queen bee around here. As you can see she is watering the mud. Did I mention I hate having a dirt backyard?

She chases us around barking and attacking our ankles, especially her 3yr old sister. Hmmm that brings back some childhood memories.
She is either a dog or a horse 50% of her waking hours and she is a very moody animal, let me tell you.

She would watch Spirit all day long if you let her and she loves to fall asleep to the soundtrack. I'm not sure she likes being human at all.

Sometimes I wonder what her little life seems like to her. Although she can be a bucking wild horse, when she sheds a tear it tears your heart out. She has had such a hard time with the move. She really misses preschool and her Papa and everything else in Arizona. Poor little thing.

I think I will make her some bone shaped cookies and make her do some homework. Maybe that will cheer her up.

Raccoons and Rabbits

It is always a surprise when you open the garage door to find this.....

Avary put them in there and insists that is where they are going to live. Except when she is giving them a bath of course.

The Weekend

I Loved Conference.

The kids had fun finding the speaker on our chain we hung up.

And listening for the bingo words so they could eat their candy while they colored their conference packets.

Kade made a Dragon craft.

They especially like Uchtdorf.

The biggest distraction was the 5yr old (doggy) that would not stop barking the entire time. I was actually hoping she might lose her voice so she would have to stop, it went on that long.

Friday Letters

Dear Husband, this week you decided to hang around with some Carbon Dioxide and when you came home you took a nap. Dear VT, it was great to hang out with you and relax a little. Dear Playgroup, I never know who will show up but even when there is only one other person it is always great. Dear Sun, you decided to show your glorious face and brought warm air and a slight breeze with you.aaaahhhhh. Dear Az, still missing the orange blossoms. Dear Headaches, you really make things so difficult for me. I bet having 3 screwed up discs in my neck has something to do with it. Dear Wed., I actually remembered that the kids had early release, in the middle of the week. Dear Children, you still tell me everyday that you want to go home. Me too. Dear Gas Prices, Yikes! You have confined me to the house and we all know too much of that is not good for me. Dear Family, I am going to have another baby. HAHA! April Fools! I'm not even considering it so don't get your hopes up. Dear Disappointment, why is it the one thing I want so badly I will never have (not a baby). I wish you were not a part of my life. Dear Phone, the very best thing about you is, when you are with me I have all of my scriptures with me too. Love It. Dear Ric, you scrubbed paint off the white door, I bet that is the first time you've ever done that.
