cake

Look what my VT dropped by my house.

Perfect for Home Evening treat.

I have been so blessed to be surrounded by so many genuinely kind and thoughtful people in my ward. It has made this move so much easier for me.

I tear up when I think about the Lord putting me where I am. He knew I needed to not be completely alone. I am lucky enough for there to be some who understand what it is to have the history our family has. It makes such a difference.

I know the Lord loves me just for putting these people in my path so I wouldn't be alone.

Friday Letters

what a nice forced smile. and a front pocket full of stuff, ric is cool like that.

Dear Husband, you worked long hours this week. Dear Snow, at the end of March? Crazy. At least they cancel meetings because of you. Dear Icy Roads, sliding backwards down a hill in traffic with my foot on the gas is a little nerve racking. Dear Donuts, I eat you once a year and you always make me feel sick. Dear Picture Day, we are waiting to see if you were a success or not. Dear Speech & 1st grade Teachers, you are just what my 1st grader needs. I am happy you are so nice and caring. Dear Stuff, there is just too much of you and nowhere to put you, irritating. Dear Meetings, you are needed I'm sure, but you are taking over our life. Dear Kade, it's your first pine wood derby race. I would say you are excited. Dear Tax Return, any day now, seriously. Dear Briana, I love you forever, my beautiful friend. Dear Girls Night Out, oh how I miss you. Dear Arizona, I miss driving down Brown Rd. with the windows down soaking up the smell of blossoms floating in the air. Dear New Phone, you are not an iphone, that is how much I know about electronics. But you were cheap and an android and very complicating. Dear Children, I will find a way to get you to successfully do your chores and keep the house clean if it's the last thing I do. Dear Rico, you are supposedly working only half a day today. Crossing my fingers. Oh and just to clarify Prison Break is a TV show. smile.

Angry Peach.

(we had green eggs and green waffles, banana flavor, with cinnamon syrup and bacon for dinner on st patty's. And we all wore lot's of green) it looks gross, but tasted good.

Today I was going to go to the thrift store, but my back and kidneys attacked me. There has been a stone in there for a looong time. It doesn't move that often, but you know all time does it make it bigger.

So instead I stayed home looking at my peach walls.

Did I ever tell you my house is peach? There are two pea green walls in the living room and the entire rest of the house is peach. Depending on the time of day it can be yellowish, cream, orangy, peachy. But I refer to it as ANGRY PEACH.

I don't like it. It does go great with the yucky peeling wall paper in the kitchen though. Well, actually they don't match at all.

The minute I win the lottery I will paint the whole house. And buy some curtains because the old curtains don't fit. Isn't that annoying.

It's not good for me to stay home too long because then I see all the things I wish I could change or improve.

And I end up cleaning up a huge amount of glitter. Avary is obsessed at the moment.

Friday Letters

Dear Husband, we found out you get some cool discounts with your new job. i phone for me maybe? Dear Back Pain, why do you take so long to leave and why do you always accompany a headache? Dear MM Girls, you are much too quiet during my lesson. Feeding you rolo's might have something to do with that. Dear Daylight Savings Time, you are so weird. Just work in the dark like everyone in Az does, and put your kids to bed before it's dark. I don't like losing sleep. Dear Old-er Brother, I hope you had a wonderful Birthday, even though you don't like them. It would be nice to see you again someday. I Love You. Dear St. Patty's Day, you were filled with greeness and glitter. Dear 10yr old, you gave a talk in Primary and you were a little nervous. I never thought the day would come. You must be growing up. Dear Snow, in the middle of March, really? Dear Prison Break, the Mr. has been trying to get me watch for ever. I finally gave in and I must say you are pretty good. Maybe with a tiny bit less violence though. Dear Qdoba, I tried one of your burros and it was huge, but not that good. Dear Cafe Rio, I miss your goodness. Dear Energy, you have completely abandoned me. Dear 10yr old, I am letting you ride the bus from school with a friend to her house today. Can you say WAY out of my comfort zone. Dear Red Box, we finally found the long lost toy story 3 in the 3yr olds doll stroller. I'm afraid to return it now. Dear Briana, you are always in my thoughts and prayers, love you so much. Dear Rico, lets meet up later for some more Prison Break.

Dreaming

My back went out... Mom's don't get a break even if you hurt your back.

I taught my first lesson to the Mai Maids. They are way too well behaved.

Now I just have to teach the 17 activity day girls on Wed. Ha!

I am dreaming of a long massage and then a pedicure and then a manicure. A nice dinner out and then lounging on the couch watching a movie in a clean house in my jammies. Then read in bed until I'm nice and sleepy. And sleep in until I wake up naturally and have breakfast brought to me in bed. Or maybe ihop.

Yes I am dreaming, this is not my life in any way. I can't afford any one of these things. Well, maybe a movie on the couch, but not in a clean house. Ha.

In the mean time I get to look at these cute, very mischievous little faces all day. They love me so much they can't go five minutes without needing me.

Friday Letters

Look it's Wolverine

Dear Husband, you went to the temple this week, always a good idea. Dear Garage, I can now park in your half organized mess after an entire days work. Dear 10yr old and 7yr old, you have had 3 friends over in the last week and I cleaned your room so you wouldn't be embarrassed. And I cleaned your sisters room so you could play with their toys too. Do I get a cool mom sticker? Dear Children, you would win a world race for who can make the biggest mess in the least amount of time. Dear Laundry, will there ever be a day when I am not drowning in you? Dear Paint, I started painting, spilled all over my clothes, and then realized I can't afford to paint the whole room. oops. Do you think the landlord will notice? Dear Tax Return, will you ever come? I am losing faith. Dear Lower Back, you gave out on me. There are so many more hours in the day when you can't move without calling out in pain and looking like a robot. The 3yr old must have gained an ounce making the twist and lift a really bad idea. Dear Ricardo, you offered to do the dishes, I think I will take you up on that.

Isn't It Great When...

You find a soaking wet monkey who has been sprayed down with detangler and then slathered in gel...

And then you find muddy footprints on the white carpeted stairs....

All the way up the stairs.... Leading to a certain persons room....who shall remain unnamed for their own safety.

Friday Letters

look what someone scratched onto my steeringwheel

Dear Husband, this week you worked a lot of hours, which means you might get a day off. Dear Ice and Snow, shoveling you off of the driveway wasn't too bad until I noticed the huge blister right in the middle of my hand. Dear 3yr Old, why are you still limping? You are supposed to be all healed up. Dear VT, I enjoyed out chat and can tell we will be good friends. Dear Scouting, one minute I was saying how glad I am I don't have to deal with you for a little longer and an hour later you are inviting us to come into the program early so there is more than one boy.nice. Dear Straws, you are not a toy, you in fact can be very dangerous. I think the 3yr old gets that now with the circular cut in her mouth and all.sad. Dear Children, you all cried for Arizona this week. Don't worry spring will come. Dear Appt. with the Bishop, you are a very caring person, I appreciate that. Mia Maids here I come! Scary because I don't even know how to spell it. Do you think they will notice? Dear Backwards Day, the kids said we had to have dessert before dinner, silly kids. Dear Monkey Bread, why have we never met before? My saddlebags already dislike you. Dear Rico, I love that you will run to the store for me even when it's late.

I am guessing that this is not what your house looks like.

My goal for March is to completely unpack and not just shove it all in the garage.

To simplify. If we have less stuff then that means there will be less mess, right?
Maybe you haven't met my children.

I need to find a way to make the awkward living room not quite so awkward.

Delivery Rocks.

Nothing like watching the kids play in the snow from my toasty kitchen window.

They are going up to their Polar Bear Cave.

I fed them toast and cocoa for lunch.

And then I had Jimmy Johns deliver me a Beach Club Gourmet Sandwich.

This is something you can share, after 1/3 you are full.
MmmmMmmm. The sprouts make it soo yummy.
